SESSIONS EVERY THREE DAYS AND WEEKLY SESSIONS

The 8 Coil SHakti

There are two schedules for Shakti sessions. Every three 72 hours, and once a week. Other intervals between sessions have been examined, and found to be less effective. The session schedules are based on laboratory investigation, and it is strongly suggested you follow them. The software has session logging and reminders, to keep track of your sessions for you. Sessions should never be done more often than once every 72 hours. Negative effects are possible when sessions are done too close together.

Shakti has predictable side effects when used in a series of weekly sessions, and weekly sessions are more able to create lasting effects. These have not been reported with sessions done every three days.

These are temporary, and they come from a process called “metabolic snapback”. Not everyone experiences it. In fact, it’s become less common since the Shakti signals were upgraded late in 2008. Shakti For Windows comes with a software CD that has these improved signals.

A series of weekly sessions lasts six weeks. Each session is 20 or 30 minutes. The effects of a single session typically last about four (4) days.

Four days after the second session, the brain tries to re-establish its old patterns of responses in these brain parts. It does this by activating the same structures on the opposite side.

You can feel uncomfortable while that’s happening, if it happens at all. This has been called ‘being in snapback” (based on the phrase “Metabolic Snapback”). Most people (less than 10%) don’t experience it. Typically, it emerges as mild moments of anxiety or irritability.

These can be strong for a very few people (usually those with mood disorders), but it’s hardly noticeable for most. When it happens, it usually starts four (4) days after the second and fifth sessions. For others, it starts almost right away. For most, it doesn’t seem to happen at all.

If snapback happens sooner than three days after a session, you should request alternative session designs.

If you choose to obtain a Shakti unit, you’ll have a chance to answer some questions that will help me design alternatives for you, should they be necessary (over 90% use the standard session designs).

Weekly sessions are more likely to produce lasting results.

Snapback is rare, hasn’t been reported with sessions done every three days.
