Shakti uses magnetic fields with signals
embedded in them for consciousness exploration, spiritual growth, mood enhancements, altered-state experience,
and learning brain structure and function. Shakti connects to your PC computer, which controls it's output.
Your brain produces electrical signals as it
operates. The 8 Coil Shakti applies magnetic signals to your head that mimic them. Because some brain structures
have known 'signatures', they can be 'targeted' by applying their signatures as magnetic signals. Just as the brain has specific responses to specific chemicals,
it also has specific responses to specific magnetic signals. It does not use EMF emissions.

Alternating the signals (between
the two stereo channels of your sound card) adds momentumto their effects, and approximates the effects of 'rotation'
used in laboratory studies.
The 8 Coil Shakti uses two sound channels, the left and right stereo output from a computer sound card. The laboratory
studies, sometimes called the "God Helmet Experiments", used eight stereo channels. The equipment to
replicate the "God helmet" is more expensive than the 8 Coil Shakti, and can be seen Here. The 8 Coil Shakti is an affordable alternative that approximates,
but does not duplicate, the "God Helmet". Similar effects have been reported from both neural stimulation
systems. Note: the "God Helmet" is not used for mood enhancement. |

Eight coils, applied over both hemispheres,

The coils can be applied to several places on the head, for a range of different effects.
These headsets have eight
coils to make sure you are able to apply the signals to both sides of your head. This is a safety feature, and
cannot be dispensed with.
There are also sessions where the signals do not alternate. These are designed for altered state experiences and
mood enhancements, and are based on laboratory procedures.

"How does Dr. Persinger artificially induce religious experiences in his patients?
"Dr. Persinger has designed a helmet that produces a very weak rotating
magnetic field of between ten nanotesla and one microtesla over the temporal lobes of the brain. This is placed
on the subject's head and they are placed in a quiet chamber while blindfolded. So that there is no risk of 'suggestion',
the only information that the subjects are given is that they are going in for a relaxation experiment. Neither
the subject nor the experimenter carrying out the test has any idea of the true purpose of the experiment. In addition
to this, the experiment is also run with the field switched both off and on. This procedure Dr. Persinger claims
will induce an experience in over 80% of test subjects."

"For several years, Persinger
has been using a technique called transcranial magnetic stimulation to induce all sorts of surreal experiences
in ordinary people (New Scientist, 19 November 1994, p 29). Through trial and error and a bit of educated guesswork,
he's found that a weak magnetic field--1 microtesla, which is roughly that generated by a computer monitor rotating anticlockwise in a complex pattern about the temporal lobes will cause four out of five
people to feel a spectral presence in the room with them."
The power of moving magnetic signals is illustrated in one study where 3 volunteers were given LSD and were given sessions with the Koren Helmet. When
the coils were moving, the subjects saw "blobs of white, purplish, or greenish-yellow lights"....When the magnets (ordinary horseshoe magnets, not the coils or signals used in Shakti For
Windows) weren't moving, the subjects didn't see these lights. And those
were common magnets, not much different from the kind you might have on your refrigerator. |

meditation. The different jobs these brain parts do provide different effects for each signal. Each signal 'targets'
a specific brain part. Each brain is different, and there are many ways to use Shakti. Your experiences will depend
on what you're prone to, and the choices you make in using it. |

one part at a time. If you like the altered state a particular session brings up, you can repeat it (with specific
schedules) often enough that your brain 'learns' to access the effects on it's own. If you don't like the effects

One of the ways this technology has been effective
is as a meditation enhancement. Meditation can be improved by when Shakti sessions end about an hour before beginning
meditation. Interestingly, meditation during Shakti sessions doesn't work as well as meditation in the days and
hours after sessions.
The same effect has been reported by people who are using other mind-machines after their Shakti sessions. Using
other mind machines during Shakti sessions isn't recommended. The 8 COIL SHAKTI can induce spiritual experiences
and transformation for many people when used according to instructions. It's also a powerful tool for consciousness
