The best time to do Shiva sessions depends on what you want to get out of them. Effects
during sessions are more likely during times of low geomagnetic activity, and sessions to build inner skills are
best done during unsettled geomagnetic contitions, with effects emerging 3 to five days later. An unsettled geomagnetic field is means that it's not calm, but not having a storm either. If you are unable to do your sessions during an unsettled time, then the next best choice is when the geomagnetic field is at it's lowest. Unsettled periods are indicated by the yellow columns. You can see the present geomagnetic state at the bottom of this page. The animation highlights a period when the K value was at 4, the 'Special K' period. |

Spontaneous psi experiences are more likely during times of geomagnetic quiet, and these have been found to enhance the psychic effects found in lab studies. However, in unpublished work, reports of enhanced abilities have appeared when subjects received octopus sessions on days when the geomagnetic field was unsettled, and the subjects tested their skills three to five days later. Their skills skills grew in any case, but the strongest effects was when they sessions were done during unsettled periods, but the effects don't emerge until about five days after the session.
The research, both published and unpublished, suggests that if you are looking to have psychic perceptions during Shiva sessions, then you should do them during times of geomagnetic quiet (zero to two K). If you are looking to develop your psychic skills, you should do sessions during unsettled geomagnetic periods, and try to test your skills out about three to five days later. If you are fortunate, that time, time three to five days later, will offer times of geomagnetic quiet. A K value of zero would be optimal, though there's no way to predict the geomagnetic values in advance.
