What kind of Hardware can you use with Shakti?

You'll need a GAUSS METER to set your volume Click HERE to learn more about this.

USING A PC COMPUTER WITH A SOUND CARD, BUT WITHOUT USING THE CD PLAYER

BEST !!!!!

(Recommended First - The low-frequency response for sound cards is usually better than the CD drives)

There is a software participants can receive by e-mail that will produce the signals with better low-frequency response then the windows media player.

USING A COMPUTER WITH A SOUND CARD AND A CD PLAYER

(Recommended Second)

Running the signals through both the CD drive and the sound card means that there are two pieces of hard whose limitations have to be overcome.

USING A PC COMPUTER WITH A CD PLAYER, BUT NO SOUND CARD

(Not Suggested - Most CD drive audio plugs do not get enough output)

USING A MAC

OK, but not much information available.

Using a home stereo system with built-in CD player.

(Suggested if you don't have a PC with a good sound card.)

USING A PORTABLE CD PLAYER

(Not suggested - most portable CD players do not have enough output)

TWO TECHNICAL ISSUES EVERY SHAKTI HELMET USER NEEDS TO DEAL WITH:

IS YOUR "VOLUME" SET CORRECTLY?

When you're using Shakti, VOLUME really means "field strength".

To little, and it might still work, but there haven't been many tests on very low strength fields. To much, and it probably won't work.

You'll need a Gaussmeter to measure the strength of the magnetic fields. Click HERE to Learn more..

The ONLY gaussmeter we suggest is the DR GAUSS. This is an excellent product that shows you the field strength using a little needle, and lets you HEAR the signal. Many people who are going to be interested in Shakti will not relate to numbers and field strengths. But, they will be able to hear if the sound is right.

A Gauss Meter usually costs about $45.00. The participants pages have links to online vendors.

IS YOUR SOUND CARD OR CD PLAYER ABLE TO MAKE REALLY LOW SOUNDS?

When you're using Shakti, LOW SOUNDS means "low-frequency response".

If your sound device is really unable to produce lower pitches, it will miss some pieces of the wave forms Shakti uses.

Your Shakti unit comes with a CD to test your low-frequency response for the CD, and the helmet user's pages have a link to download a software to test your sound card.
